Tents and saddles
We use only the best and expedition suitable material. The tents are spacious two and three person tents of the brands NorthFace, Salewa and Marmot . We use the Argentine-Chilean "Cangalla" saddles, which we all made with a blacksmith known in the city of Epuyén. They are the most suitable for Track-Riding and extremely comfortable. These are developments of the most original form of military saddles with the use of different wool blankets and felts lined and covered with a sheepskin (as a seat pad). This whole ensemble of the saddle with the various layers is called Recado, which the gaucho uses as a sleeping pad and headrest.

Pack saddles, panniers and more
The pack saddles and saddlebags, in turn, come from Simon Zünd, a Swiss toolmaker from the Rhine Valley, who came to Rincón de Lobos years ago and came up with the idea of ??giving the Gauchos pack saddle system the Swiss finish, so to speak. It is an honor for us to work with his beautifully crafted pack saddles.

Therma-Rest sleep mats and small pack saddle rolls are also provided by us for each participant moored behind the saddle to store sleeping bags, jackets and personal items during the ride and we offer riding helmets if desired.

Your equipment
Below is an overview of the things you should have with you for the trip:

• sleeping bag with comfort area -5 ° Celsius
• Rainwear pants and jacket with hood
• Pants for riding, as far well ventilated, 1 pair of trousers (ev Switch)
• Warm Pulover
• Vest / Gillet as windbreak
• Roof cap / sun hat and a warm wool hat
• run-in, at least ankle-high, water-repellent shoes
• Sandals or comfortable shoes to change
• light gloves
• warm socks (2 to 3 pairs)
• sleeping bag (sweatpants and T-shirt)
• Underwear (1x warm, 4x light)
• small towel and swimwear (optional)
• personal hygiene products and sunscreen
• Camera
• Flashlight
• sunglasses
• Knife
• Riding helmet and chaps if available

Although there is a mild, sometimes dry-hot, microclimate in the area, one should not forget that we are in a mountain area. In the evening it cools noticeably and sudden weather changes are possible. We've never had rain for more than three days, but even those gnaw on nerves when the jacket leaks.
